guidelines for using inner circle
At Inner Circle, we’re not just about dating—we’re about creating a space where like-minded, ambitious people can connect over shared lifestyles. We prioritise safety, quality, and respect across all our interactions. Our Community and Safety Guidelines are here to support those values, ensuring that your experience with us—from the app to real-life connections—feels as safe and genuine as possible.
These guidelines supplement our Terms and Conditions, detailing what is and isn’t permitted, how we monitor the platform, and how you can report issues. Safety is built into everything we do—from our screening process to our commitment to fostering respectful and meaningful connections.
We encourage you to read these guidelines closely as you embark on your Inner Circle journey.
-
1. Inner Circle is like a members club for dating. Niche by design, it’s built for people who live ambitious, aspirational lifestyles and want to date people who move in similar circles. Built on the belief that opposites don’t attract, we have designed a thorough application and screening process to curate a community where everyone is worth dating – and people have more in common than just being single.
2. First of all, some rules apply to assesses whether you are admissible to request to join our website or app (together: our Services):
Inner Circle is intended for adult members to communicate with each other online and is not suitable for individuals under the age of 20. You are only allowed to apply to or use our Services when you are at least 20 years old.
If you are subject to any court order relating to assault, violence, sexual misconduct, harassment or any other behavior that we deem inappropriate for our community, you are not allowed to apply to or use our Services
If you are already a user and we suspect that you do not comply with the above rules, we are entitled to immediately remove your account and suspend you for an indefinite period of time from our Services.
3. When you create a profile, we ask you to adhere to our Terms and Conditions. Specifically inappropriate content in photos including images that are sexually explicit, violent, or offensive in nature. This covers any nudity or sexually suggestive poses, depictions of illegal activities, or images that promote hate speech, discrimination, or violence. Additionally, photos that misrepresent the user (such as fake profiles or impersonations) or infringe on privacy (like sharing another person’s image without consent) are also deemed inappropriate. These standards help ensure user safety and a respectful environment on the platform.
4. After you have created your profile, your application is automatically put on the waiting list following which we will determine whether you are eligible to be part of the Inner Circle community. We use a hybrid approach where we use 1) technology such as face verification, machine learning, computer vision, automation and 2) manual screening. This means that we screen your application on three aspects: safety, effort and mindset.
Safety means that we use a combination of methods to verify the authenticity of applications, such as automatic face verification, data points and manual screening. Our team operates under the motto “better safe than sorry”, meaning that when there is doubt about the authenticity or safety of your application, we do not allow you to access our Services.
Effort means that we ensure members are equally committed in showing their best self. We do this by checking your photos (i.e. number of photos, quality of photos, face clearly visible, well groomed, decently dressed, no tacky selfies, bathroom photos – all in accordance with any information shared by you as part of the application and profile completeness.
Mindset means that we aim to grow a community of like minded people that are on the same page in life based on elements such as education, job title, industry and lifestyle interests.
5. The better your application scores on these aspects, the quicker it will be approved. All applications can be improved continuously and will be reviewed again by us while you are on the waiting list. This means that by enhancing your profile, you increase your chances of being admitted to the app at a later stage. If you want to be removed from our waiting list, you can send an email to support@theinnercircle.com.
6. We never screen profiles on ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation and we continuously review our practices, train our team, and review our technology on (unconscious) bias.
